          The most interesting thing about the reading was the international business. It’s crazy how some companies create to every problem a solution to make money like Domino’s pizza. The international food is different from country to another even though it still the same brand. Some product didn’t get any success in some countries like the diapers in japan. 

TV show

The Walking dead

The TV show that I have watched was called “The Walking dead”.  It is an American horror drama television series created by Frank Darabont. The series started with Rick Grimes, who gets shot when he was on duty and wakes up from a coma to that the world controlled by dead people “walking dead”. After he wakes up from the coma, he started to search for his wife and son. What I think of this TV show is that there is a lot of killing going on in the show but I kind of like it because of the drama and the actors. I don’t recommend young people “children” to watch this because there is too much violent in it which influences children’s mind in a bad way. 

Movie review

Flight 

          The movie Flight was about a commuter airline pilot whose name was Whip Whitaker. When he was flying from Orlando to Atlanta something went wrong with the engine and the plan started to fly erratically. Somehow the pilot landed the plane and saved almost all passengers. When Whip Whitaker woke up in the hospital, one of his friends from the airline union had brought him a lawyer to tell him that there was a chance he might face some criminal charges because they found that his blood test showed that he was intoxicated with cocaine and alcohol. During the investigation his lawyer asked him to keep his act together and to stay away from alcohol, but he was addicted to it so he couldn't listen to his lawyer and started to drink again. When it was time for his court date, he was drunk and his friends tried to help him out by bringing him some cocaine so he could restore his awareness. He could have had the charges dismissed by denying that he was drunk before he flew, but he chose not to, and told the judge that he did drink before the flight and that he was drunk now in the court because he was alcoholic.

 Chicago Architecture foundation

   In our tour, we went to the Chicago Architecture foundation which is located at 224 s Michigan Avenue. We have experienced the place from inside. It has a lot of great pictures and it shows how Chicago constructed. Also it shows the Chicago's skyscrapers from above. the Chicago Architecture foundation was found in 1966 and opened in 1933.

Wiz Khalifa

            My favorite song was called “Promises” by Wiz Khalifa. Wis Khalifa an American rapper who was born in 1987 in Minot, ND. His parents got divorced when he was three years old. The reason why he used to move regularly is because his father was a solder. The reason why I chose this artist to be my favorite is because I like his style, voice, and the way he sing. Another reason why I like his is that he came up with his own style and nowadays a lot of teenagers are trying to act like him. What he is known for is that he smokes a lot of Marijuana on a daily bases, plus he keeps talking about smoking in almost all his songs. Speaking of songs, his hit song was called “Black and Yellow” and his firs song was published in 2005 “prince of the city”. When it comes to music, hip hop is my favorite.

The Holy Mosque

                       This picture represents the Holy Mosque. It is located in Mecca city which is known for "The City That Never sleep". A lot of  Muslims from all over the world come to the Holy Mosque every year to make Umrah and Hajj. They call this mosque " The house Of Allah" and the black thing is called " Al Kaaba" where Muslims do the circling and facing when praying. It is beautifully designed and the government spent a lot of money on it every year. The gold color around the Kaaba is actually real gold and the government renew it every year. Muslims have to face the Kaaba every time they want to pray. When outside the city of Mecca, they have to face toward Mecca.

Reading

The reading that impressed me was ‘They got to be carefully taught’. It showed me that teaching is really important and that young children can absorb whatever the teacher teaches them really quickly. I have learned that even children can be racist too. They can notice that they are different from one another, because they have different skin color, hair color, and some of them belong to another country. It is obvious that teachers are not perfect and sometimes they make mistakes too. In the reading the teacher sent the wrong idea to her students. What makes it hard to make everyone not racists, especially here in the United States, because there are many immigrants and for that they might think they are different from each other. Teachers should learn more about other cultures and do their best to send the right message to students.

Pop Culture

I have changed a lot since I arrived to the United States. Before I come to the US I used to not care about my health that much, but now I started to be healthier by changing my eating habit and going to the gym five days a week. Also, I started to take care of myself more and pay my bills instead of asking my family to pay them off. Another thing I have learned here is that men and women are equal and there is no different between the two gender. However, the only different between them is that men are stronger physically than females. The good thing I have learned in this country is how to manage and respect time. It is obvious that being on time is necessary and important, so I always try to be on time. What helps you to be on time in this country is that almost everyone is on time. Since I have took this class I became aware of the American  culture and can tell the different between high culture and pop culture. Because of the discrimination in this country a lot of emigrants had to hide their identity and act like they are American. However, some of them kept their tradition and taught it to their children.
